Kevin Kennedy, an accomplished accounting and financial professional with more than 20 years of experience working primarily with small businesses and nonprofit organizations, founded Double K Consulting.  Prior to Double K Consulting, Mr. Kennedy served in various roles including Vice President/CFO, Treasurer, Program Control Officer, Director of Accounting, Director of Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, and various Controllerships. 


Mr. Kennedy specializes in applying “best practices” throughout the accounting cycle of trade associations, professional associations, small and medium size businesses, and nonprofit organizations.  Mr. Kennedy has experience in the following sectors:  Tech, Healthcare, e-Commerce, Retail, Construction, Media, Food & Beverage, and more.  In addition, Mr. Kennedy has worked with several start-up organizations.

 

Mr. Kennedy has held various senior level positions primarily for small privately held businesses, and developed numerous technical and experiential skills to leverage for clients.  Mr. Kennedy is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has extensive hands on experience with MAS 90, MAS 200, Microsoft Dynamics GP and various other accounting software packages.  He has expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.  


Mr. Kennedy is a graduate of Siena College where he received his degree in Finance with a minor in Accounting and is currently pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Accounting at St. Leo University.  Mr. Kennedy is a DC-area native and currently resides in Montgomery County Maryland.
